Hearthstone is a free online digital collectible card game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment where players can enjoy magic, mischief, and mayhem with their friends.

It is available in Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.

Gameplay

Hearthstone is set within the Warcraft universe. It pits two opponents against each other and players select a hero to fight with. There are ten classes for you to choose a hero from, with unique cards and abilities, known as hero powers, which also help define class types.

The end goal of the fight is to win the match by reducing the opponent's health to zero.

Card types

There are four different types of cards: minions, spells, weapons, and hero cards. These cards are ordered by rarity, with Legendary cards being the rarest, followed by Epic, Rare, Common, and Basic.

• Minion cards: they have an Attack value in the bottom-left corner and a Health value in the bottom-right corner.

• Weapon cards: these cards display an Attack value in the bottom-left corner and a Durability value in the bottom-right corner.

• Spell cards: these only have a mana cost attribute. There is a text written in each card that describes its ability.

• Hero cards: they have a mana cost attribute and an Armor value in the bottom-right corner. Their powers are also described in the card text. Hero cards replace a player's hero and Hero Power when played.
